About the show

I LOVE LUCY® LIVE ON STAGE is the brand-new hit stage show adapted from the most beloved program in television history! Coming to Colorado Spings, December 2-3rd. Official Ticket Source

It’s 1952 and you are a member of the studio audience awaiting the filming of two hilarious and oh-so-familiar I LOVE LUCY® episodes. Imagine stepping back in time onto the Desilu Playhouse soundstage where a charming host entertains and enlightens you to the behind-the-scenes filming process, the 1950s hi-fidelity technology and this brand-new thing called “television.” The episodes begin and you witness, firsthand, the side-splitting antics of that crazy redhead in the Ricardo’s New York apartment and thrill to the Cuban sounds of “The Ricky Ricardo Orchestra” at the famed Tropicana Nightclub. In-between scenes? The Crystaltone Singers perform live advertising jingles of the show’s newest sponsors in perfect 50s style harmony. Can you say “Brylcreem?!”

L.A. Examiner’s Ron Irwin says I LOVE LUCY® LIVE ON STAGE is “an absolutely brilliant and utterly engaging tribute to that iconic television show!” TV Guide’s William Keck calls it “the most entertaining stage production I’ve seen in years – including Broadway!”

The truth is in the title – whether young or old, everybody really does LOVE LUCY!

COLORADO SPRINGS CHORALE PRESENTS DECK THE HALL
When: Friday, December 12, 2014 - 7:30 PM (Doors open 6:30 PM)
Ticket Info: Tickets on sale now! Purchase Tickets

The Colorado Springs Chorale announces their Christmas family favorite, Deck the Hall, “The Best Way to Celebrate Christmas,” (Best of the Springs, The Gazette) Friday, December 12, 2014, 7:30 p.m., at the Pikes Peak Center for the Performing Arts.

This season the Chorale begins a new era following the retirement at the end of last season of long-time director Donald Jenkins. During this transition year, the Chorale is under the baton of Daniel Brink, who has been the organization’s accompanist and assistant conductor for many years. Mr. Brink brings excellence, a lively rehearsal style, and a lot of fun to the podium as he prepares the Chorale for a busy season that includes two of their own concerts, two collaborative events, and two guest performances with the Colorado Springs Philharmonic. As this year winds down, the Chorale’s new permanent conductor and artistic director, Deborah Jenkins Teske, will begin rehearsing the Chorale and will conduct a few pieces for the Breath of Spring concert (May 8, 2015).

Deck the Hall 2014 will include many Christmas favorites including arrangements of Silent Night, Deck the Hall, Adeste Fidelis, We Wish You a Merry Christmas and The Twelve Days of Christmas, to name a few. International Christmas pieces include Il est ne le divin enfant, Riu Riu Chiu, Jauchzet dem Herren and Bahyooshkee-Bahyoo – an original composition and Chorale favorite by composer and Chorale member Judith Kramer. The Colorado Springs Chorale’s nearly 130 auditioned singers will craft a beautiful and inspiring experience that touches your soul and lifts your spirits with just the right amount of fun. Of course, the audience is always a part of the music and will have the opportunity to sing along with the choir for three traditional carols.

The Chorale’s special guests this year are the members of the Colorado Springs Youth Symphony’s Brass Ensemble. The Ensemble will perform by themselves and will also accompany the Chorale for a Daniel Brink arrangement of Jingle Bells and Pinkham’s Christmas Cantata.

Add to this Santa and Mrs. Claus in the lobby, decorations, spectacular lighting and the marvelous accompaniment of Kelly Zuercher, pianist and Carol Wilson, organist, for a very festive Christmas celebration. The Chorale’s gorgeous sound, affordable tickets, and a beautifully decorated stage with striking and atmospheric lighting, combine to create a delightful family evening of traditional, favorite, and new Christmas music.

Tickets are $15 to $40 for adults and $12 for students and may be purchased at the Pikes Peak Center Box Office; TicketsWest, 719 520 SHOW (7469); at all TicketsWest outlets, or www.ticketswest.com. (Surcharges may apply).

For more information about Deck the Hall or the Colorado Springs Chorale, contact the Chorale office at (719)634-3737 or by email to csc@cschorale.org. Our complete season schedule is online at cschorale.org.
